Using Prompts for better Project updates in Project Pages PRO

Project Pages leverage all of the great work you do crafting things. But sometimes when we’re writing about the things we make it can be easier if we have reminders to keep us consistent in how we share the stories of our creations.

Project Pages Prompts in PRO are designed to help.

Using Prompts in Project Pages PRO #

First up you’ll need to have the core Project Pages plugin installed, as well as the PRO upgrade plugin. Once you’ve got them installed and activated you can go ahead and start using prompts.

  1. Make a new project, or edit an existing project. When you get to editing the body of the project, click the ‘Project Prompts’ button:
Click Project Prompts in Project editor Body toolbar

2. This will open a new modal, from which you can select a prompt to use to start writing:

2.a. Individual prompts:

If you want to select your sections one by one you can select individual prompts from the drop down list and click ‘Use Prompt’. These can be good reminders to include certain details:

2.b. Prompt Sets

If you want a standardised format for your Project Pages, or you just want to get more inspiration for writing the story of your creation, select a prompt set from the drop down list and click ‘Use Prompt’. This’ll populate your Project body with some helpful headers to inform your Project story.

3. Get writing

Here’s an example of a single prompt injected into your Project body field. It’s a simple nudge to get your writing started. Where your project has already got a title Project Pages PRO will automatically switch the text ‘this project’ for your project title when you use any particular prompt.
